Principal's Message

Castille Staff 10-11 014.jpg

Welcome scholars and parents to the 2017-18 school year at Castille Elementary School.  You are now officially a “Coyote!”  Our school’s theme this year is “Create, Innovate, and Discover.” Students will find themselves entrenched in STEAM learning opportunities throughout the school year where creativity flourishes, innovation thrives and students discover new interests. You will find our school to be a welcoming environment with exceptional teachers that provides an enriching curriculum that is geared toward meeting the highest of standards. We also appreciate how supportive our community and PTA volunteers are in helping to support vital enrichment programs for our students.  We are pleased to have your family be part of our school community and are excited about working with you during the upcoming year and throughout your child(ren)’s elementary school career.

Our goal is to challenge each student to progress in the state and district standards to achieve academic excellence. We facilitate an active and supportive learning environment by collaboration and by ongoing evaluation of student work and assessment results. Learning is stimulated by problem solving, critical thinking skills, and by opportunities for student choice through differentiation.  Science, math, and technology are woven throughout your child’s day, and Castille students are afforded additional opportunities to participate in science learning with working scientists at universities and NEW THIS YEAR is the beginning of a 3 year partnership with Discovery Education and the opening of our Maker Space Labs. We work as a team to assist all Castille students to become contributing members of society empowered with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to excel in a changing world.  We are a 21st Century Learning Collaborative.
