Traci Logan

Welcome to Kindergarten

Welcome! I am so glad you have landed at  Castille Elementary! My name is Traci Logan and I will be your child's kindergarten teacher this year. I have been teaching at Castille for the past 18 years and I have taught a total of 30 years. My undergraduate degree in education was earned at the University of Idaho, and my Masters degree was earned at Cal Poly SLO. I hold a Reading Specialist credential and an English Language Development certificate. It is my belief that your child's school experience with be most successful with a cooperative parent/teacher relationship. I  look forward to an exciting and productive year with your family.

I hope you and your child enjoyed the summer and are ready to embark on an important milestone in your child's life. Kindergarten is a year of growing socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Your involvement, interest, and enthusiasm will help make this a wonderful year of growth for you and your child. I hope your child is as excited as I am to begin this new school year. It is normal to feel some nervousness and apprehension the first week of school. I still get butterflies in my stomach as I walk out to the blacktop to greet all of you on the first day. Parents, keep a cheerful demeanor and let your child know how proud you are of them going off to class on their own.

Rest assured that I will do my best to make this school year an enjoyable time for your child. I am committed to giving your child a solid educational foundation and at the same time letting him/her Create, Innovate, and Discover. Your child will be safe, loved, and nurtured at Castille.

Please bring your school supplies to school on August 21st. We will be using them for an activity. Thank you!

Please fell free to contact me anytime with any questions or concerns you may have. My email is tslogan@capousd.org. We are a team!

A Little About Me

.  I grew up on a farm  in the beautiful state of Idaho. I look forward to going back and visiting every summer. We ride horses, swim in fresh water mountain lakes, and roast marshmellows around the campfire. It is so relaxing and rejuvenating.  I live in RSM and have 3 very active children that keep me busy when I'm not in the classroom.  My youngest daughter is a eighth grader at RSM Intermediate School. My other daughter is a Senior at Capistrano Valley HS. She is on the varsity pep squad and a dancer. My son graduated  from Baylor University (Go Bears!) and works in Dallas for Accenture. He also is a Medical Supply Officer is the Army Reserve. When I'm not in the classroom I'm probably at a dance competition or a sporting event (I can't wait for college football to begin).  I feel blessed to be your child's teacher this year.  I look forward to working  with your family and getting to know you personally. Our school theme this year is Create, Innovate, and Discover.
