MRS. VILLARREAL

My name is Erica Villarreal and I am excited to begin my fourth year teaching first grade at Castille! I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and Master of Science in Educational Technology from California State University, Fullerton. I am passionate about integrating technology in meaningful student centered ways. I believe in educating the whole child: socially, emotionally, and academically. It is my goal to instill a love of learning while preparing students for the 21st century by providing a nurturing environment that promotes collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.

My husband, Jeremy, and I have been married for 17 years. We have two daughters: Sophia (14) and Ava (12). Most weekends, we can be found on the softball fields watching our daughters play. We also enjoy bike riding, watching movies, and going to the beach. When we have the opportunity, we love to visit Costa Rica and enjoy the "pure vida" lifestyle.
