Fun Friendships

Fun Friendships provides a fun games and crafts to students on most Wednesdays at lunch time. At the beginning of the school year 4th grade students may apply to be a Fun Friendship aide.

Meet the Masters

Meet the Masters has over 25 years of history of providing interactive, multi-media art education to elementary school students worldwide.  As California’s leading art program, MTM has introduced Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh and a total of 35 Master Artists to more than 2 million students.

Castille PTA provides five "Meet the Masters" lessons per year for every grade level.

Science Day

Science Day is a Castille original! Castille students spend a whole day exploring different science themes. Many students say this is the best school day of the year.

Scholastic Book Fairs

Hosting a Fair is the best way to support your school’s reading efforts. Students, parents, and teachers love Book Fairs for a number of reasons, including:

  • They provide easy access to a wide assortment of books.
  • They give kids a choice in what inspires them to read more.
  • Book Fairs involve family, which demonstrates to kids that reading is important.

PTA sponsors Scholastic Book Fairs in the Fall and Spring.

Reading Counts Awards

Scholastic Reading Counts!:

  • MOTIVATES students with suggested reading choices that match their interests and reading levels.
  • EMPOWERS educators with reports and actionable date at the student, school and district level.
  • REINFORCES comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency skills.

Castille students are rewarded for reaching certain "Reading Counts" milestones.

Coyote with Character Awards

Following the Mission Viejo Community of Character program, the Coyote with Character Awards honor students who exhibit the following character traits:
